5 Day - Potteries Tour of Wedgwood, Pottery Outlet Shops, Pottery Museums, Portmeirion & the Lady Lever Art Gallery

Day One - Airport Transfer - Stoke-on-Trent
Arrive into Manchester Airport and take the transfer to your hotel near Stoke-on-Trent for the next 2 nights. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your long journey.

Day Two - Wedgwood, Pottery Outlet Shops, Potteries Museum & Art Gallery - Stoke-on-Trent
After a leisurely breakfast head into the Potteries area of Stoke on Trent, famous for the large number of ceramic manufacturers in the area, including Royal Doulton, Royal Staffordshire, Spode, Moorcroft and Wedgwood. Enjoy a visit to the Wedgwood Visitor Centre & Factory, where you will be able to see a pottery factory at work, discover the history of the Wedgwood and browse the shop for gifts to take home. There will be an opportunity to visit some pottery outlet shops before an afternoon visit to The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, to travel back in time and discover the history of the Potteries, including the world's greatest collection of Staffordshire ceramics.

Day Three - Erdigg - Snowdonia
This morning we head into Wales stopping off on route in the attractive market town of Nantwich, which you can explore at your leisure. On then to Erddig, a Victorian Manor house and an opportunity to look at how the servants lived and worked in the great house's of the Victorian times. We continue through the stunning Welsh countryside into Snowdonia to check-in at your hotel for the next 2 nights.

Day Four - Portmeirion - Ffestiniog Railway - Snowdonia
After a leisurely start head to the village of Portmeirion, where Clough Williams-Ellis' has built created a most unique and eclectic collection of architecture. Williams-Ellis originally bought the land in 1925 for £5000 and built the houses to prove that the built landscape could be just as beautiful as the natural landscape. It is also home to Portmeirion Pottery, established in 1960 by Clough Williams-Ellis' daughter Susan. This will be followed by a trip on the Ffestiniog Railway, offering superb views of the Snowdonia National Park. Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day Five - Bodnant Garden - Lady Lever Art Gallery - Manchester Airport
Morning visit to Bodnant Garden, with its huge collection of Rhododendrons, Magnolias and Camellias and don't miss the spectacular views of the Snowdonia range. From here we follow the coast road across the River Dee and onto the Wirral to visit the Lady Lever Art Gallery to view its magnificent collection of Wedgwood and Chinese porcelain. Continue to your airport hotel at Manchester Airport for overnight.
